You can now renew ownership of expired vehicles online from home for the next three months without the need to review service delivery centres, pay fines, and traffic black points. Visit http://rta.ae  or download the "RTA Dubai" App from Google play store or Apple IOS store

You can just log in to the Ministry of Interior’s website or the police app of your corresponding emirate and complete the necessary steps to get your vehicle’s registration renewed, which costs Dh350 for light vehicles.
In Dubai, head to RTA’s website or in Abu Dhabi, the emirate's Abu Dhabi Police e-services portal. There you simply select your vehicle and submit the relevant information online.

How is eligible for renew expired vehicles with out inspection.

Motorists still need to ensure their insurance is valid for 13 months prior to registering their vehicle.

Sharjah: A Sudanese family living in Sharjah has been ripped apart after both parents died from coronavirus during Ramadan, leaving six siblings orphaned.
The father, 57-year-old Ali Ahmed Al Tayeb, died this week, just 23 days after his wife and the mother of the children.
The family lived in the in Al Tauwan area of the emirate. All six children have now moved to live with their father’s nephew, Mohammad Hashim, in Ajman.
The children are: Wa’ad Ali Ahmed, grade 10, Batoul Ali Ahmed, grade 9, Kamal Al Din Ali Ahmed, grade 8, Zainab Ali Ahmed, grade 6, Nour Al-Bayan Ali Ahmed, grade 1, and Mohammad Ali Ahmed, who attends kindergarten.
New guardian Hashim, who is newly married, said the children's father suffered from diabetes. He became infected with COVID-19 just days after his wife died.Hashim said he hoped the children could overcome the great pain of losing both parents in such a short space of time.Hashim said he wanted the children to be able to continue their studies and grow up as their parents intended.They did not go to school last year due to late fees, Hashim said.

Residents stranded outside the UAE due to Covid-19-triggered travel restrictions can start returning to the country from June 1. The announcement made late on Monday comes as a relief for many families who have a loved one stuck abroad.

Earlier, residents had to register on a Ministry of Foreign Affairs service called Twajudi, which fast-tracked the return of humanitarian or special cases.

Now, these residents can register on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA).

Here is the step-by-step process:

1. Remember: Do not book travel tickets unless you obtain an approval for your application.

2. Documents required:
- Colour photo 
- Copy of residency 
- Passport copy
- Proof for visit abroad (this can be a letter from the workplace, education institution or flight ticket if the reason was tourism)

3. Visit smartservices.ica.gov.ae

4. Scroll down to the last option on the list of smart services: 'OTHER SERVICES - RESIDENTS OUTSIDE UAE - ENTRY PERMISSION - ISSUE'

5. Click on 'Start service'. 

6. Fill the e-form, attach documents, review your application and submit.

COVID-19 measures in UAE: Sterilisation measures to start at 8pm, new mall timings

Abu Dhabi: The UAE announced that sterilisation measures will be done from 8pm to 6am starting from Ramadan 27, as per the Islamic calendar. This falls on May 20 till further notice.
Eid is set to start on either May 23 or 24, based on moon-sighting. The renewed restrictions will also cover the Eid break based on Monday's briefing.
During Eid holidays, malls and shopping centres would be open from 9am to 7pm as part of the changes, with the application of all procedures and precautionary measures. After Eid the new timings of malls and shopping centres will be announced.
The closure of mosques and places of worship will continue until further notice, and hence Eid prayers and all prayers will be performed at home.
Food outlets, cooperatives, groceries, supermarkets and pharmacies can continue to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the sterilisation program, and these businesses are excluded from the restrictions during sterilisation.
Butchers, vegetable and fruit shops, slaughter houses, fish selling outlets, mills, confectionary shops, will be operating from 6am to 8pm.
